I agree with Ashley, some people who like to call themselves Christians like to pick and choose what from the Bible to believe and live by, they do know they aren't obeying God so they judge people who are living by God's word to make themselves feel better.

Look at what you would be missing out on! Children fill your lives with joy, I wish everyone could see that. I feel bad for people who view children as burdens. They have no idea what love a child will give and how it will change your heart. Having a baby gave me a new perspective on life, it opened my heart in ways I couldn't have dreamed!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with all of us, I feel blessed to have read it :)

How nice to see that you didn't get any rude comments on your post! You are right, these topics are controversial. I think that the main reason they start fights is because Christians know in their hearts that they are being disobedient to the Lord and they get defensive about it. I mean, you can't argue with the Word, so all they can do is get upset.

May the Lord continue to bless you. I am a work in progress too :)

One of the many ideas that God used to shape our thinking was "Who would we miss out on?" - dh's parents never intended to have his youngest brother, and my aging parents would have been 'justified' to have never had my two youngest brothers. Indeed, they 'justified' not having any more due to age despite my pleas for more siblings - I was convinced they could have another little girl and if they kept having boys I would have been tickled, too! I remember my mom trying to reason with me that if I had a sister she would be 11, 12 years younger, and that I really didn't care.

I hope I'm in your shoes one day! Well, come to think of it, I sort of already am. :) I have two boys, and the youngest was conceived two weeks after a miscarriage. So already I look at him and marvel that if I had leaned on my own understanding or the medical world's (tempting, let me assure you!) I wouldn't have this incredible little boy . . . .

Thanks for sharing your story. :)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts- I am where you are now, and I am so glad for it! Each time someone says "I'm
glad that it's you and not me", I agree- I'm glad it is too.

Have a great day!
