For those times when you just aren't able to make fresh juice - or if you don't regularly make "green" juice, we've found AIM to have the highest quality Juice Powders. Organic, Virgin Coconut Oil

Organic, virgin coconut oil is an awesome thing! Most Americans are deficient in essential fatty acids, the good fats that we need for proper cell, brain, and all body functions. And Coconut Oil is a great EFA with many benefits for our health. Forget all you've heard about coconut oil being bad. Well, highly processed, refined coconut oil is bad. But not properly processed coconut oil. It has many health benefits. It is a good fat! It is very high in lauric acid, the beneficial fatty acid found in mother's milk that supports healthy metobolism, and has many other health benefits. It is anitviral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, thus being a great protector of our health. Read a bit more 'from me' here. All coconut oils are not produced equal. As most foods, much of it is highly refined and nutritionally not beneficial. In purchasing Coconut oil you want to look for organic, virgin (or extra virgin) oil cold-pressed from fresh coconuts (not copra—dried coconuts.) Centrifuge extracted is considered the best, although others use natural fermentation. Most lower quality, unbeneficial coconut oils are expeller pressed, refined—high heat and/or chemicals used in the process,) and/or made from copra—dried coconuts.

Wholefood Farmacy (above) has a fresh, centrifuge, cold-pressed process virgin coconut oil. Although it is usually quite expensive to buy it in pint jars, such as these are, check out their member price. Usually the least expensive way to buy organic virgin coconut oil is in bulk. A gallon will last you quite a while, yet will keep well. Wilderness Family's top quality coconut oil is fresh, centrifuge and cold-pressed also. The Wilderness Family centrifuged VCO in the 1/2 gallon size, comes in a glass jar. That's a plus, IMO. These 2 coconut oils are our recommendations.

Raw, Organic Agave Nectar

Agave nectar is a liquid all natural sweetener, like honey except it comes directly from plants—the Agave plant. Raw Agave nectar is extracted from the heart of the plant and processed at low (non-enzyme killing) temperatures. It is low glycemic, lower even than honey, and has a very mild taste, more mild than honey, and it doesn't crystalize. Agave nectar can be used in place of honey, perhaps using a bit less, for all your sweetening needs. The agave we carry is organic and raw—and 1 gallon, to save you money. Buying Good for You-Naturally!™ Foods

We highly recommend Azure Standard for your regular "grocery" foods. They are an online natural food supplier, that will ship either by their own trucks (on their delivery routes,) or by UPS (for non-perishables). And they are very reasonably priced. Also, I can't believe how many natural, transitional (and a few honestly Good for You-Naturally!™) foods you can order through Amazon.com. They are more your "convenience" type "natural" foods, not much "optimal" nutrition, but nonetheless handy to have occasionally. Everybody was shocked when I told them I ordered groceries from Amazon, especially since I don't use S.A.D. convenience foods. But things like organic, all-fruit leathers, and coconut oil are cheaper through Amazon. I even have a few things set up on their Subscribe & Save program to get a discount and free shipping.

Other Sources for Good for You-Naturally!™ foods

When you decide to broaden your horizons beyond salads, juices and smoothies, into more adventurous raw foods, there may be some raw foods/ingredients that aren't as readily available. Here is a site where you may be able to find them. We aren't endorsing anything at this site except the raw real foods you find there. We're not even endorsing all the foods you find there. But it can be a good source for some things if you live far from the city where such things may be found, and they aren't available from our usual sources listed above. Raw olives. Raw tahini. They also carry organic, raw non-pasteurized almonds (from Italy) at a price cheaper than my previous source (which has had to go to pasteurization.)

Washing your Fresh Produce

Since this pertains to food I'm putting this tip here. Wash all your fresh produce with Raw, organic Apple Cider Vinegar. Fill a bowl/sink with pure water to cover the produce and add a splash of ACV. Let soak a few minutes, then scrub and rinse. (At the very least, spray with ACV and rinse.)
